/ Challenge

Where the client started

Our client, a leading innovative, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, is dedicated to the discovery and development of immunotherapies for treating cancer and immunological diseases. Its mission is to bring novel treatments to market, relying heavily on their Research & Development (R&D) efforts. The client was maintaining an archaic content management system (CMS) that was plagued by several challenges such as: • Non-intuitive CMS, posing hurdles for researchers and marketers to create and publish content. • Inefficient workflows that failed to streamline content creation and approval processes. • Inability to provide proper role-based access control, complicating user administration and compromising content security. • Increased costs and delays due to frequent dependence on developers for basic content updates and page layout modifications. To overcome the above challenges and share its R&D findings and related content efficiently, the client required a user-friendly and robust CMS.

/ Solution

What we built

ACI Infotech with its extensive expertise in Drupal-based solutions, partnered with the client to address these challenges by implementing a customized Drupal-based CMS. This solution is designed specifically around the client’s operational and content needs. Key highlights • Robust publishing capabilities: This new system supported various content types, including R&D reports, press releases, and news articles. • Intuitive layout builder: An easy-to-use drag-and-drop layout builder was integrated, allowing users to create and customize pages without developer assistance. • Custom page blocks: Customizable blocks enabled users to design the page layout according to their preferences. • Content preview: A preview feature allowed users to review the content and layout before publishing, ensuring accuracy and quality. • Integrated SEO modules: SEO best practices were integrated into the CMS, helping to optimize content for better search engine visibility. • Role-based access control: With sophisticated access control features, users could enjoy the appropriate permissions for their roles. • Streamlined workflows: Well-defined workflows were established to facilitate smooth content creation, review, and publishing processes.

What changed in production

The implementation of ACI’s Drupal CMS led to significant improvements in the client's content management and publishing capabilities that include: • 40% faster publishing: Streamlined workflows and intuitive tools accelerated content release. • 60% less developer dependency: Drag-and-drop layouts enabled quicker updates without heavy technical support. • 30% productivity boost: Role-based access and structured workflows improved collaboration. • 25% higher user engagement: Enhanced CMS experience and project visibility elevated satisfaction and outcomes.

“ACI helped us move from a rigid system to one that supports how our teams work. Publishing is faster, updates are easier, and our researchers can focus on their work instead of struggling with tools.”
