Where the client started

The customer is a leading global healthcare services and solutions provider operating in over 100 countries, supporting hospitals, clinics, and care providers with a wide portfolio of medical products, technologies, and digital healthcare solutions. Known for its focus on quality, compliance, and patient safety, the organization manages large volumes of mission-critical data and transactions across distributed operations, and continually invests in modern technologies to ensure scalable, reliable service delivery worldwide.

As the organization expanded its global footprint and digital healthcare offerings, its legacy infrastructure began limiting agility, scalability, and cost efficiency. Despite operating virtualized environments within traditional data centers, the existing setup struggled to meet modern performance and demand requirements.

Due to the above factors, the company faced a couple of challenges such as:

What we built

To address the client’s scalability, cost, and operational challenges, ACI Infotech designed and executed a comprehensive cloud transformation strategy focused on modernization, automation, and platform optimization. The goal was to migrate critical workloads to a resilient cloud environment while streamlining deployment processes and improving overall system performance.

As part of this initiative, ACI successfully migrated more than 120 applications from the client’s existing IBM data center infrastructure to the AWS Cloud, enabling them to run on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) for enhanced flexibility and scalability. In parallel, the team implemented a fully automated deployment platform that allows developers to seamlessly move applications into Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS). This container orchestration environment simplified application lifecycle management by making it easier to deploy, run, scale, and manage Open Liberty containers across clustered environments.

By leveraging AWS-native services and automation capabilities, the organization significantly optimized infrastructure utilization and achieved a 58% reduction in infrastructure costs while establishing a scalable, high-performance foundation for future growth.
